Have you readers been making use of some awesome deals as of late (Scoopons, livingsocial deals, cudo, etc)? There are some great deals out there and I managed to snap up a Sparrows deal before all 2,000 deals were sold out! The deal was for two people, at $49.00 to “enjoy a sumptuous Spanish dinner and bottle of wine … includes any two mains plus shared entrée tapas and a sangria on arrival!”
Onwards we go :):
It was a chilly Saturday night, friend and I arrived early and are both presented with a glass of sangria each, a choice between red and white.

Our waiter was friendly and helpful whilst we perused through the menu and selected our tapas and mains.
Duck Donut, porcini salt; $5.50
Lamb cutlet, anchovie and olive butter; $9.00
I have had a variety of the tapas on offer on my first visit so decided to try something different. I opted for the lamb cutlet and rightly so. It was superb! Cooked just right, juicy, flavourful and super tasty butter. Check out how clean I ate it off the bone without having to resort to fingers!
300g Black angus sirloin, wild mushroom ragout (medium rare); $36.00
300g Black angus scotch fillet sauce diable (medium rare); $34.00
This has got to be one of the tastiest steaks I’ve had in a long time. Serving size looked kinda small but it was the perfect portion size for us. The sauce was delectable: thick, flavourful and coated the meat generously.
Dinner was excellent whilst we chit chatted over our bottle of wine before grabbing dessert at the ‘ChocolaTree‘ across the road.

LOL! I did the same route too the last time I was at Sparrow Kitchen! There for dinner and off to Chocola Tree for dessert 🙂 Btw the steaks look sooooo gooooood! :D:D
It was too convenient to NOT drop a visit in the chocolatree. 😛
It tastes as good as it looks! :)~
